Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident along a bus route in the Church Hill area of Redditch at the weekend.

Shortly after 10pm on Saturday 24 April, there was a collision involving a Red Diamond bus and a pedestrian on the bus route between Loxley Close and Church Hill Centre. The bus driver was then assaulted as he got off the bus.
The pedestrian was taken by ambulance to the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch with head injuries. His condition is not believed to be life threatening.
The bus driver also received medical attention for minor facial injuries.
PC Emma Morton from Redditch police said; "We are trying to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident and we are appealing for any witness to get in touch with us as soon as they can."
"We understand that there was a group of people along the road as the bus tried to pass and we would urge anyone who saw this group or was part of this group to make contact with us, particuarly if you saw the collision or the attack on the driver".
