Diamond launches Worcester network
We'll be launching a new network in Worcester on Tuesday 1 September following the successful win of tenders from Worcestershire County Council.

At the same time, we will also start two commercial services on routes 30 (City to Dines Green) and 31 (Henwick Park - University - City - Warndon - Worcestershire Royal Hospital) which will include long awaited night services, operating during the early hours of Saturday and Sunday morning.

What's more, we'll be the only bus company to operate a daytime, evening and late night service on these two routes, offering passengers a friendly service at an affordable price with all buses being low floor.

Our Operations Manager, Stephen Bryce said “We are really excited about launching our new Worcester network and expanding our Red Diamond brand further into an area that was once dominated by a well respected operator with red buses. Our new depot will compliment our existing successful Redditch operation. It is our aim to provide a friendly, competitively priced and reliable service so that not only do the bus users have a choice of bus operator, but that car users will see public transport as a realistic alternative.”

He added “with the current economic climate we have been flooded with applications for the 60 vacancies at our new depot, which has enabled us to pick a great team who share our goals and will appreciate our company’s unique culture”.

Services operating under contract to Worcestershire County Council are:
30, 31, 33, 34, 35, 37, 39, 166, 362, 363, 382, 423, 424 and 839.
