Kidderminster Service Changes April25

Kidderminster Service Changes From 20th April 2025

12 March 2025

West Midlands Shropshire Worcestershire

There will be changes to some Kidderminster services from 20th April. These changes will be implemented to ensure that the communities affected by changes to the 125 service are able to continue to be served with bus links.

Kidderminster to Bridgnorth Update:

Diamond are pleased to announce that the Kidderminster to Bridgnorth part of the 125 service will continue, following additional funding provided by Shropshire County Council.

We understand that many people were concerned to hear that the 125 service would be potentially withdrawn, due to it no longer being commercially viable to operate in its current form. We are pleased that following discussions with Shropshire County Council, they have agreed to provide funding from their Bus Improvement Fund to allow this service to continue.

A new timetable and route operating between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth via Highley will commence from week commencing 20th April, until this date the current 125 timetable and route will continue as normal.

Kidderminster to Bewdley Update:

The new 125 will be re-routed between Kidderminster and Bewdley to cover the Habberley and Catchems End areas which are currently covered by the 8 service. In line with this route change, service 8 will be withdrawn from 20th April and replaced by the 125.

Service 292 will also be amended to cover Bewdley Hill towards Bewdley and will also loop around Hales Park and Bark Hill to replace this element of the 8 service.

Kidderminster to Rifle Range Update:

Following the withdrawal of Service 8, The 1 service will be re-instated to provide a dedicated 30-minute frequency between Kidderminster and Rifle Range

Kidderminster to Stourbridge Update:

Following discussions with Transport for West Midlands, we are pleased to announce that additional funding has been secured in order to continue providing a service between Kidderminster and Stourbridge.

Our Dudley to Stourbridge 25 service will be extended to provide an hourly 25A Service between Dudley, Stourbridge and Kidderminster via Merry Hill. This exciting change means that passengers in Kidderminster will now be able to benefit from a direct hourly link to the Merry Hill Centre, as well as the historic attractions of Stourbridge and Dudley.

We would like to thank Shropshire County Council, Worcestershire County Council and Transport for West Midlands for working with Diamond in order to continue to provide connections for the local communities across these regions.
