Pax Capacity App Update

New Passenger Capacity Feature on the Diamond Bus App

21 July 2020

West Midlands North West Worcester and Warwickshire

Its now more important than ever for passengers to be able to plan their journey, We have been working with our Ticket Machine & Mobile App technology providers to enable our new Real-Time Seating Capacity function on the Diamond Bus app.

By recording passengers boarding and alighting our vehicles on the ticket machine, we are now able to feed the current capacity of any vehicle back to our mobile app system to enable you to see if the bus is busy before it arrives.

The simple Red, Amber and Green display clearly shows if the bus is Busy, Fairly Busy or Not Busy.

You can also see if the bus is a single or double deck bus, and if it has extra features available such as USB charging points or Wifi.

To access this new feature, simply update your Diamond App to the latest version in your app store.

To see the vehicle status in the app, either head to Bus Services, choose the service you are looking to catch and click on any of the buses shown along the route map of that service. Alternatively, open the Bus Tracker map, zoom in and click onto any bus on the map to see its current status.
