
Sunday Morning Free Travel Offer

Derbyshire County Council are funding free bus travel on Sunday mornings throughout the school summer holidays for journeys that are wholly within Derbyshire.
This offer is valid on Diamond East Midlands Service 9 and 21E between 23rd July and 27th August.
So whether you want to go for brunch with friends, do some Sunday morning shopping or take a trip out with the kids, your eligible Sunday morning journey on these service is free!
...and, if you’re travelling back in the afternoon, it’s still only £2 for a single ticket.
Terms and Conditions of Offer:
- This offer is valid on Service 9 between Heath Lane – Stanhope Arms, or for anyone travelling in Melbourne only (Travel between Burton – Bretby is not valid for this free offer).
On the 21E Service it is valid between Woodland Rd/Manor Rd in Stanton to Overseal (Not valid between Burton – Edge Hill). - Journeys outside of the stated points will be charged as normal fare.
- Free travel is during Sunday AM only – from the first bus on a Sunday morning up until those that are due to depart at 11.59am. It does not include night buses or late running Saturday services. Normal fare applies from 12:00 noon on the Sunday.
- Passengers are required to state their destination to drivers.
- A special “DCC Free Sunday” ticket will be issued during this offer period.
- For passengers that would normally travel for free anyway (i.e. under 5-year-olds, Concessionary passes), please continue to present or scan your existing ticket/pass as normal.
- If you have a prepaid ticket or pass such as season tickets or Wayfarer tickets, please continue to present or scan your existing ticket/pass as normal. There is no reimbursement for those who have already paid for travel.
