West Midlands Service Changes

There will be changes to our current network of West Midlands services from 1st January 2023.
Some services will be subject to some timetable, frequency and route changes. Some services will no longer be operated by Diamond Bus, due to the end of our contracted operational period for Transport for West Midlands. We will also commence operation on some new services, following contract award from Transport for West Midlands.
Further updates will continue to be available, with new timetables being published over the coming weeks. These are the services that will be affected by these changes:
Timetable Changes:
002 Weoley Castle to Merry Hill: Timetable and frequency changes
5/5A Dudley to Wall Heath: New service, following contract award from TfWM
A15 Shirley to Lyndon: New service, following contract award from TfWM
A16 Acocks Green to Yardley: New service, following contract award from TfWM
16 West Bromwich to Birmingham: Will be renumbered 16A. Diamond will operate all journeys between Birmingham and West Bromwich. A new coordinated timetable with NXWM will operate between Birmingham and Hamstead. Also replaces NXWM 46 between West Bromwich and Hamstead.
17 Dudley to Kingswinford: New service, following contract award from TfWM
17H Halesowen to Merry Hill: New service, following contract award from TfWM
17/17A Dudley to Stourbridge: New service, following contract award from TfWM
18 Dudley to Merry Hill: New service, following contract award from TfWM
22 Bearwood to Oldbury: New service, following contract award from TfWM
25 Erdington to Ward End: Timetable and route changes. Some roads will no longer be served by the 25: Edwards Road, Moor End Lane, Holly Lane (alternative service 96 Kingstanding - Chelmsley Wood); Fir Tree Road, Round Road (alternative service X14 Birmingham to Sutton); Glenthorne Road (alternative service 11A/C Outer Circle); Madison Road, Brockhurst Road, Ventnor Avenue (alternative service 28 Small Heath - Great Barr or revised 25)
25 Stourbridge to Dudley: New service. Replaces service 250/251
27/27A Wolverhampton to Dudley: New service, following contract award from TfWM
42 West Bromwich to Dudley: Timetable and frequency changes. Will be operated entirely by Diamond (Partnership ticketing arrangements still apply). Will now terminate at Tipton Queens Rd Alternative link to Dudley Service 229)
43 West Bromwich to Bilston: Timetable and frequency changes. Will be operated entirely by NXWM (Partnership ticketing arrangements still apply)
45 Walsall to West Bromwich: New service, will replace NXWM 45 and Diamond 401E service with timetable and minor route changes
50 Birmingham to Maypole: Timetable and frequency changes
54 Perry Barr to Hamstead: Improved timetable with more journeys and route changes
57 Stourbridge to Wall Heath: New service, following contract award from TfWM
61 West Bromwich to Perry Barr: Improved timetable with more journeys and route changes. Extended to Great Barr, Scott Arms covering the section of withdrawn 424 along Rocky Lane to Hamstead and section of 46 between Hamstead and Scott Arms along Old Walsall Rd
78 Sutton Coldfield to Queslett: There will be no change to this service, Diamond Bus has retained the contract to continue operating.
81 Dudley to Wolverhampton: New service, following contract award from TfWM
96 Kingstanding to Birmingham Airport: Extended to also operate Evening and Sunday services
142/142A Stourbridge to Merry Hill viaHalesowen: Timetable, frequency and route changes to serve Merry Hill
226 Merry Hill to Dudley: Daytime timetable, frequency and route changes. Monday to Saturday Daytime journeys will now also serve Wall Heath. Evenings and Sundays will operate as per current route as 226A
250/251 Stourbridge Circular: This service will be renumbered 25, with an improved timetable with more journeys and route changes.
600 Erdington to Brookvale Park: UPDATED: Timetable and route changes. Some roads will no longer be served. These are: Gipsy Lane, George Road between Brookvale Road and Park Road, Lyndhurst Road, Erdington Hall Road. Wood End Lane and Wheelwright Road will not be served by the 600 and instead provided for by a revised service 25 Erdington to Bromford Bridge. The 600 service will operate as a circular for the whole route, which means that you will get on or off the bus at the same stop.
Service Withdrawals:
22 Wednesbury to Tipton: This service will no longer operate
34 Birmingham to Kings Heath: This service will no longer operate
36 Walsall to Alumwell: Evenings and Sunday daytime services withdrawn
42 Coventry to Brownshill Green: This service will no longer operate
65 Woods Estate to Darlaston: This service will be operated by Walsall Community Transport
69 Brandwood Park to Solihull: This service will be replaced by Stagecoach 169 service
68 A/C Perry Barr to Aston: This service will no longer operate
89 Erdington to Shady Lane: This service will no longer operate
89 Solihull to Coventry: This service will no longer operate. Will be partially replaced by West Midlands on Demand service
93 Small Heath to Smiths Wood: This service will no longer operate
94 Birmingham to Chelmsley Wood: This service will no longer operate. Alternative journeys provided by NXWM
298/299 Stourbridge Circular: This service will be replaced by revised 142A between Stourbridge and Brook Holloway
401E Walsall to Yew Tree: Will be replaced by service 45
