West Midlands April Service Changes

There will be some service changes in our West Network from 15th April as follows: 

 

Service 4 and 4H Walsall to West Bromwich & Hayley Green:

Sunday Services will be withdrawn from these Diamond Bus routes. Monday to Saturday timetables will remain unchanged.

Service 002 Weoley Castle to Merry Hill:

Previously we announced we would no longer operate this service on a Sunday.

TfWM have been able to provide funding for this service which will now remain unchanged and will continue to be operated by Diamond Bus 7 days a week.

This is a short-term arrangement which will last until October 2023 to allow further review of the service provision.

 

Service 25 Erdington to Hodge Hill:

This service will no longer be operated by Diamond Bus due to the expiry of the contract period.

Service 45 Walsall to West Bromwich:

Previously we announced we would no longer operate this service due to this service being commercially unviable to continue.

TfWM have been able to provide funding for this service which will now remain unchanged and will continue to be operated by Diamond Bus

This is a short-term arrangement which will last until October 2023 to allow further review of the service provision.

This is a key service in the Black Country, linking the Yew Tree areas and other communities to West Bromwich and Walsall. We encourage passengers to use this service to help support it's future viability.

 

Service 78 Sutton Coldfield to The Queslett:

This service will no longer be operated by Diamond Bus due to the expiry of the contract period.

Service 226 Merry Hill to Dudley:

There will be timetable and route changes. 

  • The 226 service will revert to the old route, omitting Wall Heath.
  • Monday-Friday journeys - We will remove some early morning journeys, with a 30-min frequency operating during the daytime.
  • Saturday services - Will be reduced to an hourly service throughout the daytime.
  • 226A Evening & Sunday services will be renamed back to 226 and Sunday timetable will have minor timetable changes.

 

Service 600 Erdington to Brookvale Park:

This service will no longer be operated by Diamond Bus due to the expiry of the contract period.
