Temporary three- way signals will be in operation from Saturday 21st May 2022 for a period of two days and again the following weekend from Saturday 28th May for a further two days at the junction of Bolton Road and Agecroft Road, Swinton. Two bus stops will also be suspended in the road works area and two side streets Shirley Avenue and Beverley Road will also be closed to reduce the need for further signals. The signals will be under manual operation from 9am until 6pm on all days of work to mitigate delays as much as possible.

FOOTWAY REPAIRS

Barton Road, Eccles will be closed in the southbound direction only from Monday 9th May for up to 14 days or until works are complete. The one- way closure is required to enable essential footway repairs to be carried out in a safe manner. Northbound traffic will remain unaffected however, delays are expected in the immediate area and along the diversion route. Drivers are requested to observe all stops along the diversion route.

Industrial action on rail services
Â
TransPennine Express customers are being asked to plan carefully for travel on Sunday 27 March after the Rail Maritime and Transport Workers union announced plans for its conductors to hold industrial action.

An amended timetable will be in pace on this date, which will see a significant reduction in available services.Â
