Burton Cycle Scheme Road Closures Phase 4 - Services 6, 7 & 7A 16/04/2026 16:21:55

From 17th March until 20th April 2026 - Updated.

Phase 4 of the Burton Cycle Scheme roadworks will commence from 17th March, with continued road closures around the Town Hall Area. 

The following services will be affected as follows:

Service 6 - Will divert towards Horninglow via Guild St, Horninglow St & Horninglow Rd.
The following Bus Stops will not be served in the direction of Horninglow only:
Station St – Devonshire Arms
Borough Rd – Railway Station
Derby St - Lidl
Waterloo St –  No stops
Victoria Crescent – No stops

Alternative Bus Stops will be:
Union St – Sainsburys
Horninglow Rd – Opp Victoria Crescent & Adjacent The Crescent Pub

Towards Town Centre will operate normal route and serve normal Bus Stops.

Service 7 - Will be diverted towards the Hospital via Moor St, Shobnall Rd & Shobnall St.
The following Bus Stops will not be served towards the Hospital only:
Union St – Sainsburys
Station St – Devonshire Arms
Borough Rd – Railway Station
King Edward Place – Town Hall
St Pauls St West – None At All 

Alternative Bus Stops will be:
New St - Bay 4
Shobnall St - Halcyon Way

Towards Town Centre will operate normal route via Waterloo St and serve normal Bus Stops.

Service 7A - Will be diverted towards the Hospital via Guild St, Horninglow St, Horninglow Rd.
