During October and November

There will be some service changes during October and November on the West Midlands Network:

For services that will no longer be operated by Diamond, new timetables and service information can be found at tfwm.org.uk. nBus tickets purchased on Diamond services and on the Diamond App will be valid on other operators services within the West Midlands Zone.

Changes to the 4 and 4H 02/11/2023 14:55:18

From Sunday 5 November 2023

From Sunday 5 November, Diamond Bus and National Express West Midlands will jointly operate services 4, 4H & 4M. There will be some minor route changes to the 4H.

From this date there will be a combined timetable: 

• Both operators will run the 4.
• National Express West Midlands will operate the 4M.
• Diamond Bus will operate all Monday to Saturday daytime journeys on the 4H.
• National Express West Midlands will run evening and Sunday journeys on the 4H.

Buses will run: 

• Up to every 5 minutes between Walsall and West Bromwich
• Up to every 8 minutes between West Bromwich and Blackheath
• Up to every 20 minutes to Merry Hill on the 4M & 4H
• Customers using nBus tickets will be able to board buses from either operator. 
  nBus tickets are available to purchase on the Diamond Bus App or Swift and are also valid for use on National Express Services

Route changes to the 4H:

• In Hayley Green, all journeys will operate on the current National Express route via Bassnage Road.
  Passengers from Hagley Road (between Rosemary Road and Halesowen) can alternatively use:
  Diamond 142A - Halesowen to Merry Hill via Stourbridge.
  Diamond 192 - Halesowen to Hagley & Kidderminster.

Using Contactless Payment on Diamond Bus and National Express Buses:

• For cross operator contactless fare capping options we recommend using a Swift Go Card, which allows for multiple operator fare capping.
• Please note, if you pay for your journey on a National Express Bus using their Tap & Cap Contactless or Tap&Go on a Diamond Bus, you will not be able to swap between operators, and you may be charged twice if you tap on both operators services.
• You can purchase a physical nBus day ticket onboard a Diamond Bus using contactless payment. Simply ask the driver for an nBus Day ticket and tap your payment card when prompted by the driver, this will issue a bus ticket which is accepted on multiple operators in the nBus Scheme.
