Current 12 and 12E Services extended until February 2027

Following a period of public consultation on the future of the 12 and 12E services, we are pleased to confirm that Diamond will continue to operate both services in their current format until February 2027.
As previously reported, the sections through both Yoxall and Kings Bromley suffer with low patronage, however proposals to remove these sections met with concern from these communities about losing this link. We received over 250 responses to our Public Consultation Survey, with people in the local community giving their feedback regarding their current use of the service and how the proposed changes would affect them.
Last week, management from Diamond Bus and Rotala had the opportunity to discuss the survey results with local MP, Dave Robertson . The meeting was a very positive discussion with the agreement that we would work together along with Staffordshire County Council and other local stakeholders to find viable solutions for its long-term operation.
We are pleased to confirm that Service 12 and 12E will continue in its current format until February 2027, while those solutions are sought. We understand how important these services are to some residents, particularly those who rely on the bus to get to work, appointments, shops and other local services and we would encourage the local community to take the opportunity of this extended period to support and use the service regularly, so that more sustainable patronage can be achieved.

This extension provides some welcome certainty and a short reprieve for residents in both villages.
