Local Residents request service along Worthington Rd, Fradley

Local Residents in Fradley took the opportunity during our Service 12 survey, to request a bus service was re-introduced along Worthington Rd, Fradley.
Not part of the Diamond service, this road was previously served by Midland Classic until 2016, when they withdrew the service due to low patronage and safety challenges of operating a bus service along this section of road.
However 300 members of the public have submitted a petition to reinstate a service along this road. Whilst Diamond cannot commit to rerouting the 12 to achieve this, we have given consideration to the request of those who have signed the petition.
In order to introduce a new dedicated service between Lichfield and Fradley, serving Worthington Rd, we are asking local residents to provide some commitment to the service by purchasing a Zone B annual bus pass. Currently available online at £950 for 12months unlimited travel on our East Midlands Network, a commitment from those who signed the petition, would enable the funding of a dedicated bus service for the Worthington Rd and Fradley community.
