New Lichfield LinkUp Bus Service

Diamond Bus are pleased to announce we will commence operations on a brand new On-Demand Bus Service for Lichfield District Council from Monday 9th December 2024.
The new LinkUp service is perfect for those in areas with fewer public transport options, LinkUp provides a convenient and greener way to reach Lichfield, Burntwood and other destination nearby.
Whether you’re off to the shops, meeting friends, or need to connect to wider travel networks, LinkUp is here to make your journey easy.
The LinkUp service is similar to booking a taxi, but you will share your transport with others, just as you would share a bus. The LinkUp service takes you to your destination from your nearest fixed or virtual bus stop.
Service Times and Area Covered
The service will operate during the following times:
Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesday - 9am - 5pm
Thursday, Fridays & Saturdays - 9am - 7pm

Booking is Easy
Its easy to book your journey in advance using the following methods:
- Book online at linkup.lichfielddc.gov.uk
- Download the LinkUp app on Google Play or the App store
- Call 0808 134 6632, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm. Standard call charges apply.
- Whilst you can pay by cash on board, all journeys must be booked in advance. If you want to pay by cash, just select 'pay on board' when booking and pay the driver as you board.
- You can book a ride up to seven days in advance or as late as 30 minutes before you want to set off, however we do recommend booking as early as possible so as not to be disappointed if the service is already fully booked.
- If you are a wheelchair user or are bringing a buggy on board, please let us know at the time of booking - just tick the appropriate box if booking online or on the app.
Cost
- Just £3 per journey.
- Children 11 and under, and concession bus pass holders can travel free of charge but must book - please bring your pass onto the bus to show the driver.
