Diamond Bus are proud to be working with local groups Bound Together CIC and Reimagine Redditch to support a great community event celebrating the communities on the 57/58 bus route.
Throughout January 2025 people from Matchborough, Church Hill , Winyates and The Kingfisher Centre have been busy using Art to share their memories of Redditch and of their, 'Journeys of home' , sometimes seen through windows of the Diamond 57/58 bus!
Bound Together CIC helped people create individual Thought Baubles representing their favourite Redditch places and memories, and artist Thomas Cross helped people explore drawing as a means to record personal history.
Using these thoughts and recollections, Thomas has created a huge mural for Redditch Bus Station. This new community artwork will be unveiled at the Bus Station at 12pm on Saturday 8th March, followed by lots of family activities at Kingfisher Shopping Centre from 12.15 until 3pm.
Visit the mural and then join us in the Kingfisher Centre for a free fun day of activities and to view the Thought Baubles and the stories behind them.
