Removal of TapGo

Removal of ‘Tap&Go’ Fare Capping Payment Service

19 August 2024

West Midlands Shropshire Warwickshire Worcestershire

From 1st September 2024, Diamond Tap&Go Fare Capping Payment Service will be removed from Diamond Bus services in the West Midlands and Worcestershire.

This removal will affect Diamond Fare Capping services ONLY.

Passengers will no longer be able Tap On and Tap Off to have your fare calculated for the number of journeys you have made.

For passengers who wish to continue using a fare calculating / fare capping payment solution in the West Midlands region, we will continue to accept Swift Go Smart Cards - which also offer fare capping across multiple operators across the West Midlands. Alternatively standard ticket options are available.

Unfortunately we will no longer have a fare capping payment option for the Worcestershire Region and standard single, day, week or monthly ticket options should be purchased instead.

Please Note: Payment for standard bus tickets using Contactless Payment is NOT affected and Onboard Contactless Payment will continue to be available as normal.
