St Georges School Visit

A Bus Experience To Remember

20 February 2023

Warwickshire Worcestershire

Last week Diamond Bus were very pleased to welcome children from St Georges First School in Redditch for a trip introducing them to the experience of travelling by Bus.

A group of excited children and teachers were collected from a bus stop near to the school and taken for a short ride around Redditch town, their role playing experience also included them buying a ticket from the driver, using some play money provided by Diamond Bus especially for their activity.

St Georges Class Teachers said ”The children had a fantastic time on the bus, they loved giving the driver their play money and being given a ticket. The Children commented and said 'it was the best day ever' and 'it was so much fun'.

Teaching children about the role public transport plays in our community today is an important lesson. Diamond Bus are always keen to play a role in educating our local children on using the bus as part of their daily lives and we are very pleased that St Georges First School asked us to be part of their project
