Diamond Bus North West donates funds for 53 Beds for Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity campaign ‘A Bed Every Night’.

After becoming the Top Contracted Operator in the UK at this years, UK Bus Awards, Diamond Bus NW have continued on their mission of giving back to the Greater Manchester Community by donating money which will fund beds for the Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity campaign ‘A Bed Every Night’.

This donation reflects a collective commitment from across the organisation, with each contribution symbolising a year of partnership and service:

  • 20 years of Rotala – 20 beds
  • 10 years of Diamond Bus NW– 10 beds
  • 5 years of the Bee Network contract – 5 beds
  • 18 franchise contracts – 18 beds

Together, this contributions to a total of 53 beds.

A Bed Every Night provides a critical safety net for people who may have no other option than to sleep on the streets right here in Greater Manchester. The initiative has already supported over 87,000 people across the region and helped reduce rough sleeping by 43%. However, winter months place increased pressure on services, making support more urgent than ever.

The donation contributes to the charity’s Christmas appeal to raise £32,000 to fund 1,000 Beds for Christmas. Through the generosity of charity partner Together, donations are being matched up to £20,000, ensuring every contribution has an even greater impact.

Matt Rawlinson, Managing Director, said:

“We’re incredibly proud to support the Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity this Christmas. Each of the 53 beds funded represents a year of commitment, partnership, and shared responsibility across our business. Supporting A Bed Every Night is about making a real difference in our communities and helping ensure that no one is left without a safe place to sleep during the winter months.”

Tony Clegg, General Manager, added:

“This donation shows what can be achieved when people come together with a shared purpose. Homelessness is a complex issue, but initiatives like A Bed Every Night provide immediate, life-changing support. We’re pleased to play our part in helping people off the streets and into safety this Christmas.”

This Christmas, the Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity continues to call on businesses and communities to support those most in need.

Change someone’s life this Christmas.
