Worcestershire Fare Changes

From 13th April, there will be some changes to Diamond Bus and Connecta fares in the Worcestershire region.
As part of this fare change, the cost of an adult single bus journey will continue to remain affordable at a Maximum of £3 on all Diamond’s Worcestershire services.
Like many business sectors, the bus industry continues to feel the pressure of increasing operational costs such as fuel prices and energy costs and increased staffing costs. Whilst we understand that any price increase is not welcome, we have to address these growing pressures in order to continue providing a sustainable bus network for the region.
Diamond fares in Worcestershire have not increased since January 2025 and still remain some of the lowest fares across the region and the Country*.
Single Tickets Still Only £3 Max.
Diamond Bus will remain part of the Government Fare Cap Scheme in Worcestershire which continues to provide a Max £3 per single journey price freeze.
Save More with Day and Season Tickets.
Even though some tickets will see an increase, you can still save on multiple journeys when you buy a day ticket or season ticket.
In order to get the best value fare, you may find our season ticket options will provide better value for the type of journeys you make.
We encourage customers who make two or more journeys per day within our Redditch, Kidderminster or Bromsgrove Zones to buy our Day, Week or Monthly tickets, offering better value than the two single fares under the fare cap scheme.
