Service Improvements to 76 Tamworth Services
29 October 2025
Diamond are pleased to have worked in partnership with Warwickshire County Council to provide some great service enhancements to the 76 services from 2nd November.
The improvements which have been funded through the Warwickshire County Council Bus Service Improvement Fund, provide a number of service enhancements including the introduction of a Service 76S to improve connections for Kingsbury School students, improvements to the Colsehill & Curdworth areas plus, more buses to Hurley, Piccadilly and to Ventura Park.
The current 76 service between Tamworth and the Water Orton, Minworth, Sutton Coldfield section of the route is unchanged.
However, the Service 76 will be extended from Kingsbury to Coleshill as Services 76A, 76C and 76S, to provide new peak and daytime connections with trains to and from Birmingham and Nuneaton at Coleshill Parkway Station.
Most of these additional trips on the 76A and 76C will operate via Hurley, Wood End and Piccadilly, to and from Tamworth and Coleshill. All services will now operate in an anti-clockwise loop through Hurley-Wood End-Kingsbury, to avoid the possibility of buses meeting each other on the narrow sections of the route.
There will also be additional daytime buses between Hurley, Wood End and Piccadilly to Tamworth, via Ventura Park, approximately every two hours.
On Mondays to Saturdays there will be an additional later bus at 19:00 from Tamworth via Ventura Park to Kingsbury, Hurley, Wood End and Piccadilly, arriving back in Tamworth at 19:59
