Diamond Bus North West Visits Star Academy, Radcliffe ahead of Ironman Kids Run
13 May 2026
Diamond Bus North West has continued its community outreach this week with a visit to another local school, Star Academy in Radcliffe, as part of our ongoing support for children taking part in the Ironman Kids Run on 6th June in Bolton.
Following our recent visits to schools in Bolton and Wigan, today’s visit in Radcliffe allowed our team to attend the school to hand out further free entry tickets, giving more children the opportunity to take part in this exciting and inspiring event. The Ironman Kids Run plays an important role in encouraging young people to stay active, build confidence, and experience the positive benefits of sport in a fun and inclusive environment.
It was a pleasure to meet pupils and staff of Star Academy which is a relatively new school to the area, seeing the enthusiasm and excitement from the children receiving the tickets, and discuss the importance of promoting physical activity and wellbeing from an early age.
Diamond Bus North West remains proud to support initiatives that positively impact the communities we serve, and we look forward to cheering on all participating children as they take on the challenge and cross the finish line on race day.
Matt Rawlinson Managing Director at Diamond Bus North West, says: "It's a pleasure to be able to now visit Radcliffe in Bury our 3rd borough in Greater Manchester, especially visiting a new school that has been developed to support the community, this is about health and wellbeing, it's about encouraging young people to stay active and build confidence in themselves. I am personally proud that I am able to help the youths of Greater Manchester."
