Diamond Bus North West appointed as a Member of the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter.

Diamond Bus North West are proud to announce that we are the first Bus Operator to be appointed as a member of the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter. This is a scheme in Greater Manchester that is working to improve employment standards across the region. The Charter Criteria offers secure work, flexible work, pay, engagement and voice, recruitment, people management and health and wellbeing.

Matthew Rawlinson, Managing Director for Diamond Bus North West says: Diamond Bus North West has been a major part of the Greater Manchester Transport Sector since 2015, we’ve grown from strength to strength and now employ over 800 staff across our two sites in Greater Manchester, in the last year alone, we’ve been named as Best City Bus Operator of the Year along with being named the Second Best UK Bus Operator of the Year at the UK Bus Awards 2022.
These wins were coupled with the company be named Company of the Year at The Bolton News Awards 2022.
Being the first Bus Operator in Greater Manchester to be appointed a member of the Good Employment Charter, we have shown our commitment to our staff and the community from which we recruit, ensuring our team are happy, feel valued, and confident at work.

In December 2022 Diamond Bus North West became one of the pioneers in the new Franchising Market in Greater Manchester being awarded 7 of the 9 franchises within the first phase.
These awards are testament to the work ethic and culture we have strived so hard to achieve in the company.
Being the first Transport Operator to become a member of the Good Employment Charter shows the dedication that the company has to the Greater Manchester Region, since 2015, we have strived to support the community and with this accreditation we will continue to support the community and provide the level of service that they rely on.
