
Diamond Bus Working in Partnership with National Memorial Arboretum to deliver new bus service

Diamond are extremely pleased to be working with the National Memorial Arboretum and Staffordshire County Council to trial a brand new bus service from Tamworth to the Arboretum.
The new service which starts this Saturday 26th October will carry passengers from Tamworth to the National Memorial Arboretum’s 150-acre estate near Alrewas, offering an hourly daytime service - Seven days a week. The service, also connects with Tamworth Rail Station, providing a new public transport link to the Nation’s year-round place to remember. Additionally, the service will call via Alrewas Village allowing for connections with the 12 Bus Service to Burton and Lichfield, previously the nearest bus service to the venue.
This Autumn is a great time to explore the Arboretum. The 25,000 trees within its grounds are bursting into an array of beautiful colours and with exciting Half Term activities, ranging from outdoor trails to arts and crafts, there is something for all ages to enjoy this October.
In addition to several high-profile Remembrance events, November also sees the poignant return of the RBL Field of Remembrance which will be open to the public between 1st and 14th November.
Entry to the Arboretum is free of charge, and its just £3 per journey for passengers using the new bus service, Staffordshire Knot tickets are also valid for travel. The bus service is Free of charge to National Concessionary Bus Pass holders.
