Timetable Changes & Diversions affecting Services 12, 12E & X12 07/04/2026 11:07:21

From 27th March until mid-October 2026

Passengers are advised to be aware of a number of changes that will occur on Services 12, 12E & X12 From the End of March.

From 27th March, Service 12 & 12E will serve Anglesey Rd, Burton replacing Service 11, providing increased number of journeys and better connections to Burton Town Centre and Centrum Park for the Anglesey Rd area.

Also starting from the same date, there will be a period of closures affecting the A38 due to continued HS2 Works. These will require diversions and temporary timetables to be in place for Services 12, 12E & X12.

Phase 1. From 27th March until 8th April 2026. A38 Full Carriageway Road Closure.

The A38 will be closed in both directions between Swinfen Interchange and Hilliard’s Cross from 9pm Friday 27 March 2026 to 5am Wednesday 8 April 2026.
Services 12, 12E & X12 will divert between Fradley and Lichfield via Wood End Lane, Tewnals Lane, Western Bypass, into Lichfield Bus Station. 
The 12 will terminate at Lichfield Bus Station and the X12 will continue to Streethay turning circle and will terminate in Streethay.

Phase 2. From 05:00 8th April until mid-October 2026. A38 Northbound Slip Road Closure.

The Streethay northbound slip road will then remain closed from 8th April until October 2026.
Services 12, 12E & X12 towards Lichfield will operate normal line of route.
Services towards Burton will divert via Cappers Lane joining the A38 northbound at Swinfen Interchange and resuming normal routes from Fradley .
