Grafton Road, Brizlincote Valley, Stapenhill Road Closure 20/11/2025 09:26:18

From 24th Nov 08:00 until 17:00 9th Dec.

There is an expected road closure of Grafton Road, Brizlincote Valley, Stapenhill during the above dates.

Service 19 will be affected, with the following stops unable to be served: 
Grafton Road – Winchcombe Drive, Sefton Close, Grafton Road Bottom

Alternative stops are: Beaufort Rd – Dalton Avenue & Violet Way – Foxglove Avenue.

 

Burton High St Christmas Lights Switch On 18/11/2025 15:19:28

Sunday 23rd Nov from 06:00 until 23:30

Burton High St will be partially closed on Sunday 23rd November for the Christmas Lights Switch On.

This will affect Service 9 & 7A only. No Stops on High St will be served during this time, alternative stops will be:

New Street, Bay 9 (Route 9) towards Winshill, Swadlincote , Airport.
New Street, Bay 4 (Route 7A ) Towards Horninglow & Hospital
Bearwood Hill Road, Newton Mews

Changes to Services 8 & 9 13/11/2025 16:12:45

From 9th November 2025

From 9th November we are changing the way we operate Services  8 and 9,  in order to improve reliability on both of these services.

Both 8 & 9 services will terminate at Burton New St, with onward travel to Queens Hospital available with the introduction of a new 7 & 7A service to the Hospital.

Service 7 will operate Monday to Saturday. Service 7A will operate Monday to Sunday.

The buses will change service number at Burton New St, however passengers are permitted to stay on the bus* and travel through from Service 8 to the 7A or, from service 9 to the 7 (On Sundays Service 9 will change into a Service 7A). The way these services will interwork is shown in the table below.

Passengers do not need to disembark* or re-scan a ticket at Burton New St for onward travel towards the Hospital or vice versa.

* Some connections may require transfer of buses
