These journeys will operate for Mercia Park Staff Only: 19A: 04:45 Burton > Mercia Park as timetabled 19A: 12:50 Burton > Mercia Park, 30 minutes earlier than usual 19A: 14:20 Mercia Park > Burton 19A: 22:20 Mercia Park > Burton [operated by Roberts Travel] 20: 05:15 Tamworth -> Mercia Park 20: 13:20 Tamworth -> Mercia Park 20: 14:22 Mercia Park > Tamworth 20: 22:22 Mercia Park > Tamworth [operated by Roberts Travel] These services will not display route numbers - check the destination display or ask the driver. Swadlincote Bus Station Closure 20/01/2026 12:30:16
From 6th January 2026 for approx. 12 weeks
Swadlincote Bus Station will close from 6th January for upgrade works.
For the duration of the closure, all local bus services will be relocating to two temporary stops located on Civic Way. New departures will be as follows:

Updated Diversion Information for Service 8:
The diversion route into Swadlincote has been altered to improve reliability.
Service 8 into Swadlincote will not serve the following stops:
Newhall Rd, St Edwards School.
Darklands Rd, Catholic Church (Still Served By Routes 4, 9, 19 & 19a)
Darklands Rd, Surgery (Still Served By Routes 4, 9, 19 & 19a)
Any Passengers requiring these stops will be allowed to stay on the bus, so that they can be dropped off when the bus leaves to return to Burton.
Closest alternative Bus Stop is Springfield Rd, Springfield Junior School
This will continue for the length of the works.
