Service Updates

Empire Road, Winshill Road Closure 19/06/2026 17:20:11

From 18th June until 8th July 2026

Empire Rd/Bretby Ln will be closed between A511 and the Bretby Ln roundabout for approx 3 weeks. During this time services 8, 9 & 18 will be diverted as follows:

Service 8 & 9 towards Swadlincote will serve Hawfield Lane and Empire Rd, then turn at the Empire Rd/Bretby Lane island, coming back to Church Hill Street, taking High Bank Rd to rejoin Ashby Rd A511and resume normal route

Service 8 & 9 towards Burton will continue on Ashby Rd until High Bank Rd and divert in opposite direction of above.

Service 18 towards Burton will operate normal route until Melbourne Ave, then divert at Empire Rd/Bretby Lane island via Empire Rd, Hawfield Lane, Church Hill Street, taking High Bank Rd to rejoin Ashby Rd A511and resume normal route

Moat Lane & Bretby Lane/Ashby Rd bus stops will not be served.

Linton Heath Road Closure 16/06/2026 15:23:09

From 22nd June until 3rd July 2026

Linton Heath, Linton will be closed for upto 2 weeks. During this time Services 21 & 825 will be diverted.

The following bus stops will not be served:
Linton Heath - All Stops
Linton Main St - Linton School

Alternative bus stops will be:
Linton Main St - Post Office
High Cross A444 - Mount Pleasant
