Burton Cycle Scheme Road Closures Phase 5 - Service 827 17/04/2026 12:11:37

From 20th April to 7th May 2026

Phase 5 of the Burton Cycle Scheme roadworks will commence from 20th April, with continued road closures around the Town Hall Area. 

The following services will be affected as follows:

Route 827 AM. Towards Paget School - the following Bus Stops will not being served:
St Pauls Street West - All Stops
King Edward Place - Town Hall
Derby St - Lidl

Please Note: Students will need to be waiting at the Shobnall Street Bus Stops 5 Minutes earlier than they would usually catch the bus at either the Town Hall or Lidl

Alternative Bus Stops are: Shobnall St - All Stops

Route 827 PM Towards Horninglow  - the following Bus Stops will not being served:
Wellington St - All Stops
Derby St - Lidl
King Edward Place - Town Hall
St Pauls Street West - All Stops

Students requiring the Town Hall area will need to disembark on Shobnall St

Alternative Bus Stops are:
Shobnall St - All Stops

Route 6 Towards Horninglow - The following Bus Stops will not be served:
Station Street - Devonshire Arms
Borough Rd - Railway Station
Waterloo St - All Stops
Victoria Crescent -  All Stops

Alternative Bus Stops are:
Union St - Sainsburys
Horninglow Rd - Farringtons

Route 6 Towards Town Centre - The following Bus Stops will not be served:
Victoria Crescent -  All Stops
Waterloo St - All Stops
Alternative Bus Stops
Horninglow Rd - Opposite Dean & Smedley
Derby St - All Stops

 

Route 7 Towards Horninglow  - The following Bus Stops will not be served:
King Edward Place - Town Hall
St Pauls Street West - All Stops

Alternative Bus Stops are:
Wellington St - Post Office
Shobnall St  - All Stops

Route 7 Towards Town Centre - The following Bus Stops will not be served:
Victoria Crescent - All Stops
Waterloo St - All Stops

Mercia Park May Day Bank Holiday Service Levels 20/04/2026 14:18:11

Sunday 3rd & 4th May 2026

 

Friday 1st May		Normal service will operate
Saturday 2nd May		Non-service day for Mercia Park routes
Sunday 3rd May		Evening journeys to Mercia Park on both 19A from Burton and 20 from Tamworth will not operate.
Bank Holiday Monday 4th May		The following journeys will operate: 19A:  04:45  Burton > Mercia Park 19A:  12:50  Burton > Mercia Park, 30 minutes earlier than usual 19A:  14:20  Mercia Park > Burton, 30 minutes earlier than usual 19A:  20:45  Burton > Mercia Park 19A:  22:20  Mercia Park > Burton, one hour earlier than usual 20:  05:15  Tamworth > Mercia Park 20:  13:20  Tamworth > Mercia Park, 30 minutes earlier than usual  20:  14:22  Mercia Park > Tamworth, 30 minutes earlier than usual  20:  21:15  Tamworth > Mercia Park   20:  22:22  Mercia Park > Tamworth, one hour earlier than usual  No other Journeys will operate.
Tuesday 5th May		Normal service will resume

A Sunday Service will be operating on 3rd & 4th May on all other Diamond Bus services over the bank holiday period.
